Xinyongbao Bridge belongs to one of the largest bridge construction projects in the upper reaches of Xiaowan Power Station. It is located at K0+345 of Baoshan National Highway 320 rerouting project, which is designed to cross the Lancang River.
The bridge belongs to the inundation reconstruction project of Xiaowan Power Station reservoir area, and it is also an important channel for cascade development in the middle and upper reaches of Lancang River, development of Nujiang River basin and transportation of light and heavy goods. The bridge type is designed as a continuous steel bridge, with a bridge length of 280m, a deck width of 10m, and a vehicle load grade of Highway -II. In order to ensure that the old bridge can be blown up and demolished smoothly, the Longyang District Government invited a professional blasting engineering team to enter the site to carry out blasting. According to a person in charge, in order to ensure the success of blasting, according to the structural characteristics of the old bridge, the engineering team adopted the more advanced blasting method at present, which is divided into three steps: pier blasting, bridge arch blasting and deck blasting. That is, firstly, two bearing piers are punched, filled with a batch of emulsion explosives, and then connected by flying detonators for internal blasting; Secondly, punch holes in the bridge arch, inject water and charge, and carry out hydraulic blasting; Third, connect the bridge deck with detonating tube, and then detonate the steel wire with electric detonator. Finally, the three steps are connected into a whole and the whole blasting is carried out.
After 10 days of careful preparation, at 4: 20 pm on July 2, 2009, with the command of the on-site commander, the old Yongbao Bridge was successfully blown up, and a few seconds later the whole bridge fell into the river, and the old Yongbao Bridge disappeared from people's sight.
