Go to Gu Gan Township, once the capital of Chang 'an, swim at the foot of Qinling Mountain and sing on the bank of the Yellow River.

When you enter Henan from Tongguan to the east, you will inadvertently encounter the word "que", and many people will be confused. How to pronounce this word?

There are not a few tourists who don't know this word. No wonder, the word "Gan" is the exclusive place name of the south bank of the Yellow River at the junction of Henan, Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces.

At the beginning of the founding of the county, it was once the "township county" of the capital Chang 'an, but it disappeared in the long river of history in less than a hundred years.

From Tongguan to Hanguguan, it is not only a buffer zone between the ancient capital Chang 'an and Luoyang, but also a key strategic barrier, natural transportation hub and military fortress. As early as the Qin and Han Dynasties, at the beginning of the establishment of the county, Ganxiang was directly under the jurisdiction and governance of Jing and became the capital of Chang 'an.

Since then, it has changed many times through dynasties, but as a proper noun, the word Ganxiang has always belonged to this land.

With the change of nature and the development of traffic, Ganxiang County gradually lost its barrier function inside and outside the customs, gradually declined and was finally submerged by the long river of history.

This is a natural corridor, with the towering Qinling Mountains-Xiaoqinling in the south and the surging Yellow River and Zhongtiao Mountain on the north bank in the north. Two plateaus naturally rise at both ends of the corridor. Hanguguan under the dense mulberry tableland guards the eastern end, and Tongguan City on the Tongguan Garden in the west firmly guards the Guanzhong Plain behind it.

The Millennium Imperial Capital Chang 'an and Luoyang are located on the east and west sides of this famous Song-Han ancient road respectively.

Up to the emperors and generals, dignitaries, literati, down to the border guards, merchants and travelers, refugees, all have to pass through here, leaving footprints.

In the early 1950s, Lingbao and Ganxiang counties merged into Lingbao County. After the Sanmenxia Dam was completed and impounded, Ganxiang County was submerged under the reservoir, and Ganxiang, as a county-level administrative unit, disappeared in the long river of history.

In the ancient "dry township" area, there is a very famous post station in history-Pandou Post Station. However, after emigrating from the reservoir area, Pandou Town was also submerged under the sediment of the Yellow River. The aborigines moved south to the highland garden, named Pandong and Panxi Village.

From Chang 'an to the east, through Tongguan, Pandou Post Station is the first stop and the most famous post station. Many ancient literati left poems and songs here, including famous poets Cen Can, Wei Zhuang and Li Shangyin. Or miss the newly married wife and distant relatives, or express nostalgia for the past, or dispel the estrangement in the heart, and there are many poems describing the beautiful scenery of Pandougang.

During the Republic of China, Longhai Railway was built, and Kanxiang and Pandou railway stations were set up from east to west. However, when Sanmenxia Reservoir was built, the Longhai Railway was also rebuilt and moved south, and the railway stations such as Ganxiang and Pandou also became history.

Standing on the loess tableland on both sides of Zaoxiang River, looking at the Yellow River in the north, Zaoxiang River flows into the flat and wide beach where the Yellow River is silted, or the fields are criss-crossed, or the water plants are abundant, and the surface of the Yellow River is sparkling under the sunlight. After the Sanmenxia Dam lowered its water storage elevation, the Yellow River water remained muddy here, and the ancient Pandou Station became fertile land.

Standing here, overlooking the Yellow River, no matter nostalgia or singing, you can always find a poem that suits your soul, lamenting the vicissitudes of life and expressing the beauty of mountains and rivers. If it coincides with sunset, the sunset on the Yellow River is the most spectacular and magnificent scenery. Sunset in the long river and sunset in the desert are no longer exclusive to the desert.

When you turn to look south, you need to look up. The majestic and beautiful Xiaoqinling stands in the clouds. Here, it is the residual vein of Qinling Mountains, which is connected with Huashan Mountain.

Xiyue Huashan is located in the west. After entering Henan, there are Wu Ya, Hanshan and Niangniang Mountain in the east, all of which are the first-class Taoist mountains and tourist attractions in the Golden Triangle of Henan, Shaanxi and Shanxi.

Wu Ya is a national forest park, located in Yulin Town. It is called "Little Huashan" among the people. According to legend, Zhenwu Emperor cultivated immortals here and became a famous Taoist shrine in the north. It is called "Wuyashan" because it is second only to Wudang Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, there is the famous Yang Zhen Temple.

Hanshan Scenic Area in Guxian Town is a 4A-level scenic spot. Laoya Tea, the main peak, is 24 13 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Henan and one head higher than Huashan Mountain. This is the origin of the provincial intangible cultural heritage project "Legend of Wang Mang expelling Liu Xiu". After Liu Xiu proclaimed himself emperor, he was called "Hanshan".

Niangniangshan Scenic Spot, also known as Daughter Mountain, is a 4A-level scenic spot, located at the easternmost end of Xiaoqinling Mountains. The magical stone waterfalls make tourists amazed and spectacular.
