Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota, located in the southeast of the state, across the Mississippi River. Area 142.5 km2, population 368,000 (1990). Adjacent to Sao Paulo in the east, it forms a famous twin city, including nearby suburban counties, with an area of 12626 square kilometers and a population accounting for more than half of the total population of the state.

The central business district is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River. The 57th floor International Development Corporation (IDC) Building and Nicolette Shopping Center are the main buildings in the city. Standing on a tall building overlooking, the lake is sparkling everywhere, and the water and the sky set each other off. The new Romanesque town hall is reminiscent of palaces in European countries. The garden house by the lake has an elegant and quiet environment and is an ideal residential area. Because Minneapolis is located in the north, with the same latitude as the central part of Heilongjiang in China, the temperature in winter can drop to MINUS 30-40℃, and the snow can sometimes reach 2 meters deep. For the convenience of pedestrians, a glass-sealed air corridor is set between downtown buildings, which becomes a "flyover" with a total length of about five kilometers. Even if it is frozen for several days, pedestrians will not be attacked by the cold.
