Soon, the arrested leaders of the Self-Defense Forces, Lin Shusen and Chen, reorganized the Self-Defense Forces and launched a counterattack against the guerrillas. Guerrillas temporarily evacuated from Wu Tong town and retreated to Tongguan.

Jiuzhong Temple covers an area of more than 30 mu, with more than 200 monks and a private school. This temple was rebuilt after being burned down twice in Ming and Qing Dynasties. 1958, Jiaozhong Temple was demolished again to build Wu Tong Democratic Livestock Farm. After the reform and opening up, villagers donated money to rebuild the Jiaozhong Temple in the original site of the temple, with a single-story civil structure and three Buddhist temples in a row, covering an area of 1.20 square meters. In 2005, in the right front of Jiaozhong Temple, a park with an area of about 200 square meters was built with personal donations, and a fence was built.
