Speaking of the name of Xin 'anjiang, it comes from Huizhou, the predecessor of Huangshan City, Zhangzhou, the predecessor of Huizhou, and Xin 'anjiang, the predecessor of Zhangzhou. At that time, Xin 'anjiang was the inland river of the county. After the division adjustment in the ninth year of Emperor Wendi (589) and the third year of Sui Renshou (603), the Xin 'anjiang River basin passed through many places.

If science and technology do not continue to develop, Xin 'anjiang is likely to be "the river will not change its appearance and the world will not change its color". However, in April of 1957, elites from all over the country gathered in Tongguan Town, Jiande, and Xin 'anjiang, which has been flowing for thousands of years, will finally usher in great and profound changes.

However, the benefits brought by this great change have brought disaster to some people. Many important towns and villages such as Chun 'an, Sui 'an and Nanxiang in Shexian County, Zhejiang Province were all flooded, and hundreds of thousands of people left their homes.

When it comes to underwater places, many people will think of the Lion City and he cheng mentioned in Underwater Adventure. So which is the Lion City and which is he cheng?

Lion City is named after Wushi Mountain, which is located in the north of Sui 'an County. In the 4th year of Wude in Tang Dynasty (62 1), it was under the jurisdiction of Sui 'an County. 1959 was submerged in the water due to the construction of Xin 'anjiang Power Station, the first large hydropower station in China, and then sank to the bottom of the lake with a depth of 30 meters.

He cheng will start with a general. In the 13th year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 208), many great events happened, the biggest of which was Battle of Red Cliffs, but General He Qi of Wu Dong did not take part in this war that will go down in history. Under the orders of Sun Quan, the prince of Wu, he led an army to crusade against Shanyue, successively pacified the two places, and decomposed Shexian County to establish a new county in Ye Xiang, east of Shexian County. In 209 AD, He Qi led the troops to build the city center county, which was the predecessor of Chun 'an County, so the ancient city of Chun 'an was also called he cheng. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, he cheng was destroyed by a military disaster. Therefore, he cheng, that is, Chun 'an County, is one of the few county towns without walls in ancient China, which is clearly recorded in Chun 'an Annals.

In addition to these two completely submerged counties, the southeast of Shexian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province has also been seriously excavated, and the corner of the Millennium ancient town has completely sunk to the bottom of the water. More than a dozen important land and water docks pass through Hong Kong, and the roads, villages and historical sites on both sides of Xin 'anjiang River all sink to the bottom of the water. Projects that invested a lot of money were directly stopped, and the key period of economic infrastructure construction was missed. As a result, many places in the south of Shexian County were still underdeveloped areas.

With the construction of the dam, the migration movement lasted for several years, and hundreds of thousands of people began a long, sad, angry and helpless migration (migration) road, which is completely different from the current concepts of "demolition" and benefiting three generations.

Xin 'anjiang Hydropower Station is the first large-scale water conservancy project independently designed and built in New China. The state attaches great importance to it, and many leaders have visited Xin 'anjiang Hydropower Station to inspect and guide the work.
