Why do people in China especially believe in Buddhism, but there is basically no Buddhism in other parts of the world?

East Asia and South Asia are the regions where Buddhism occupies the mainstream belief in the world, and other places also believe in Buddhism if they have immigrants or descendants. In these areas, other religious beliefs cannot replace the position of Buddhism in people's minds. For example, Christianity (including Catholicism), which is the most widely spread in the world, is second only to Muslim areas in West Asia in the difficulty of popularization in Buddhist areas in East Asia and South Asia. However, it is an obvious fact that the higher the proportion of Buddhists, the lower the proportion of Christians (including Catholics) and the lower the degree of social, economic and cultural development. Countries and regions with a relatively high proportion of Christianity (including Catholicism) in East and South Asia include South Korea, Taiwan Province Province, China, Japan and the Philippines. Countries with a relatively high proportion of Buddhism include India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Maldives and North Korea. The remaining countries in South Asia and all the countries in Central Asia and West Asia are Muslim areas.
