The land requisition scope of Yaojiaping Water Control Project in Hubei Province involves Mazhe Village, Gao Tai Village, Mugong Village, Yingshang Village, Tianfengping Village, Xiaogucao Village and Niulanping Village in Lichuan City. The control range of the inundation affected area of the project is 746.6m in front of the dam (the normal water level is 745.6m plus 1 m, and the safety superelevation, and the national elevation benchmark is 1985) and the area below the backwater line of the once-in-20-year flood. The landslide areas of Gao Tai Village, Mugong Village and Yingshang Village in Enshi City are controlled below the elevation of 760m. This project is the need to improve the flood control system in the Yangtze River basin. After completion, the flood control standard in Enshi urban area can be raised to once every 50 years through joint operation with the built Dalongtan Reservoir. This is the key project to completely solve the flood control problem in Enshi city. Hydropower resources can also be used to generate electricity and provide clean energy, which plays an important role in consolidating and expanding poverty alleviation achievements in ethnic minority areas, promoting regional economic and social sustainable development and rural revitalization, optimizing and adjusting energy structure, and helping to achieve the goal of "peak carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality".
