Geographical conditions of Yanshi railway

Most of the route passes through the plains, valleys and hills in the south of Yimeng Mountain area, with gentle terrain and large local ups and downs. The strata along the whole line are mainly Quaternary clay and sand. Karst is developed and widely distributed between Pingyi and Linyi. The line crosses the Yishu deep fault zone between Linyi and Junan, and crosses the earthquake zone of magnitude 7-9.

The whole line belongs to a warm temperate climate zone, with an annual average temperature of 12.5℃~ 13.7℃ and an average temperature of -0.9 ~ 2.3℃ in Leng Yue. The extreme maximum temperature is 40.5℃ (Lanling County) and the extreme minimum temperature is -25.6℃ (Juxian County).

The annual average rainfall is 896.3 ~ 921.8mm; Annual snowfall 10 ~ 12 mm; The annual fog period is about 18 days; The maximum wind speed is 20m/s.
