Referring to Article 17 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the items to be registered for a visa include: visa type, holder's name, gender, date of birth, entry times, entry validity, stay period, date and place of issuance, passport or other international travel document number, etc.
With reference to Article 18 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), when applying for a visa, foreigners should submit their passports or other international travel documents, as well as relevant materials on the reasons for their application, go through relevant procedures and be interviewed according to the requirements of overseas visa authorities.
With reference to Article 22 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Exit and Entry Administration, foreigners may be exempted from visas in any of the following circumstances:
(a) according to the mutual visa exemption agreement signed by the Chinese government and other governments, they are visa-free personnel;
(2) Holding a valid residence certificate for foreigners;
(3) Aircraft, ships and trains with international connecting tickets transit from China to a third country or region, and stay in China for no more than 24 hours and do not leave the port, or stay in a specific area approved by the State Council for no more than the prescribed time limit;
(4) Other circumstances under which visa exemption can be stipulated in the State Council.
Referring to Article 29 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), if the stay period indicated on the visa held by foreigners does not exceed 180 days, the holder shall hold the visa and stay in China according to the stay period indicated on the visa.
If it is necessary to extend the visa stay period, an application shall be submitted to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level 7 days before the expiration of the visa stay period, and relevant materials on the reasons for the application shall be submitted as required. Upon examination, if the reasons for the extension are reasonable and sufficient, the stay period shall be extended; Those who have not extended their stay shall leave the country on schedule. The extension of the visa stay period shall not exceed the original stay period indicated in the visa.
With reference to Article 30 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), if the visa held by foreigners indicates that residence certificates are required after entry, they should apply to the exit and entry administration organ of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level for residence certificates for foreigners within 30 days from the date of entry.
To apply for a foreigner's residence certificate, you should submit your passport or other international travel documents, as well as relevant materials about the reasons for applying, and keep biometric information such as fingerprints. The exit-entry administration department of the public security organ shall examine and make a decision within 15 days from the date of receiving the application materials, and issue residence certificates of corresponding categories and duration for foreigners according to the reasons for residence.
Foreigners' work and residence certificates are valid for at least 90 days and at most 5 years; The validity period of the non-work residence permit is at least 180 days and at most 5 years.
With reference to Article 32 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), foreigners residing in China who want to extend their residence period shall apply to the exit and entry administration of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level 30 days before the expiration of the validity period of their residence certificates, and submit relevant materials on the reasons for their application as required. Upon examination, if the reasons for the extension are reasonable and sufficient, the residence period shall be extended; Those who do not extend their residence period shall leave the country on schedule.
With reference to Article 33 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the items to be registered in a foreigner's residence certificate include: the holder's name, gender, date of birth, reasons for residence, duration of residence, date and place of issuance, passport or other international travel document number, etc. In case of any change in the registered items of a foreigner's residence certificate, the holder of the certificate shall, within 10 days from the date of the change in the registered items, apply to the exit-entry administration of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level for change.
With reference to Article 47 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), foreigners who have made outstanding contributions to China's economic and social development or meet other conditions for permanent residence in China are granted permanent residence upon their own application and approval by the Ministry of Public Security. Measures for the examination and approval of foreigners' permanent residence in China shall be formulated by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with relevant departments of the State Council.
With reference to Article 48 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Exit and Entry Administration, foreigners who have obtained permanent residence status shall stay and work in China with their permanent residence certificates, and leave and enter the country with their passports and permanent residence certificates.
