After the Revolution of 1911, Shenyang became the capital of warlord Zhang. 1929, Zhang Xueliang renamed "Fengtian City" as "Shenyang City" after "renaming in Northeast China". 193 1 year, after Japanese imperialism launched the "September 18th Incident" to occupy Shenyang, it changed "Shenyang City" back to "Fengtian City".
