After nearly two thousand years of wandering around the world and intermarriage with local people, Jews have a variety of skin colors, including white ones. Jews, yellow Jews and black Jews, and Jews of sub-skin color in India and Latin America.

The Jews originated from the Land of Israel or the Land of Hebrews in West Asia. There is a strong correlation between the Jewish nation, culture and religious beliefs. Judaism is a traditional religion that maintains the sense of identity among all Jews. Israel is the only country in the world where Jews are the majority ethnic group.

Ethnic Origin

The distant ancestor Abraham (pronounced Ibrahim in Arabic) originally lived near the Ur Empire of the Sumerians, and later migrated to Canaan (now Israel/ Palestine area).

He had two sons. The youngest son Isaac became the ancestor of the Jews. According to the records of the Bible and the Qur'an, the eldest son Ishmael (Arabic pronunciation Yisi) was born to Abraham and his maid Hagar. The descendants of Mayi are the Arabs. So in terms of original blood, Jews and Arabs are very close.

The ancestor of the Jews was named Jacob (pronounced in Arabic as Yelqub). Jacob was the son of Isaac and the grandson of Abraham (pronounced in Arabic as Ibrahim). Jacob was later renamed Israel. It means "the one who wrestles with God", and because he injured his hamstring while wrestling with God, the Jews would pick out the hamstring and discard it when slaughtering animals.
