Brief introduction of Pingshan town

Pingshan Town, Pingshan County, Hebei Province is located in the southeast of Pingshan County, 35 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. It is the seat of Pingshan County Party Committee and government, the political, economic and cultural center of the county, and the logistics distribution and business center of the county. Pingshan Town, with a total area of 96 square kilometers, 65,000 mu of cultivated land, mountain field/kloc-0.9 million mu, and 4750 mu of aquaculture water surface, is located at the junction of North China Plain and Taihang Mountain, with a shallow hilly landform, and the mountains are in transition to the plain, with Hutuo River and Yehe River in the north, Huangbizhuang Reservoir in the northeast of the town, and Guanglu Jin Shan in the south, with rich resources and outstanding people. Pingshan Town has jurisdiction over 63 administrative villages, 2 offices and 8 neighborhood committees, with a total population of10.3 million, including 80,000 agricultural households and 50,000 non-agricultural population. It is the largest town in Pingshan County. Among the 63 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of the town, there are 25 immigrant villages, Huangbizhuang Reservoir and Gangnan Reservoir. The whole town covers an area of 65,000 mu of cultivated land, with farmland10.9 million mu and aquaculture water surface of 4,750 mu. There are 5 middle schools, 56 primary schools, 4 health centers and 3 town-owned enterprises: Lizhuang Iron Mine, Railway South Freight Yard and Xinghua Cotton Mill. The transportation in the town is convenient, Shiyan Highway and Xinjing Highway run through the town, Huang Shuo Railway and West Electric Coal Transportation Railway pass through the town, and the railway south freight yard is the logistics and trade transit station of the county.
