China's Immigration Law
With the development of market economy and the improvement of comprehensive national strength in China, there are more and more transnational marriages, and the migration of relatives to China is gradually increasing. The introduction of high-tech talents will also bring foreigners to settle down or immigrate to China. The enactment of People's Republic of China (PRC) Immigration Law has become an inevitable requirement of development and the general trend of adapting to economic globalization.
At present, there are many laws and regulations on immigration in China. Including the Regulations on Household Registration (1958), the Nationality Law (1980), the Law on the Entry and Exit of Foreigners (1985), the Law on the Entry and Exit of China Citizens (1985) and the Management of Urban Temporary Population of the Ministry of Public Security. Land Management Law (revised 1999), Administrative Measures for Examination and Approval of Permanent Residence of Foreigners in China (2003), Regulations on Land Requisition Compensation and Resettlement for Large and Medium-sized Water Conservancy and Hydropower Projects (revised in 2006), Passport Law (2007), etc.
However, these laws come from different departments and are not comprehensive enough to form a complete series, and there are still many jobs involving immigration that cannot be followed.
