The Duchess of Sussex will reportedly have to extend her family visa as she must wait a total of *** five years to obtain permanent citizenship.

In order for Meghan to become a British citizen, she needs to take a test. She must pass a "Life in the UK" test, which consists of 24 questions about the UK and can take around 45 minutes to complete. As well as the test, the duchess cannot have a serious criminal record and must meet residency requirements, including proof of residence. She must also have lived in the UK for at least three years.
