What vast plains in Brazil are sparsely populated?

Brazil's vast Amazon plain is sparsely populated.

The Amazon plain in the northwest is sparsely populated. The reason is that the tropical rain forest has a hot and humid climate and is not suitable for human habitation. One of the most important reasons why the Amazon plain is not suitable for large-scale human habitation is its proximity to the equator. The Amazon River is very close to the equator and the climate is very hot. Brazil has only one big city in the Amazon basin-Manaus with a population of10.5 million.

The remaining cities are small in scale, all along the Amazon River and its tributaries, with few exceptions. Outside the city, although there are large plains, they are deserted.

Climate of Amazon Plain:

Located near the equator, it is hot and rainy all year round, with a vast tropical rainforest (more than 30,000 square kilometers) and typical development. Amazon plain is the largest tropical rain forest area in the world, which contains one fifth of the world's forest resources. Plants are lush and varied, with endemic species accounting for 1/3. Trees are mainly Myrtaceae, Rutaceae, Meliaceae, Lauraceae, Palmae and Apocynaceae.

Rich in mahogany, ebony, Lvmu, Brazil fruit, clover gum, milk wood, ivory coconut and other economic tree species, rich in petroleum, tin and other mineral resources. The plain is vast and sparsely populated, with inconvenient transportation, and most areas have not been fully developed.
