The expiration of the visa does not mean that you can't stay in the United States.

Many international students can apply for another school to study in the United States before the F 1 visa expires. As long as you persist in studying, you can apply to the Immigration Bureau for an extension of the i-20 period.

2. Renewal of China (interview-free transfer application process of CITIC Bank)

Applicants who have obtained F (international students), J (exchange visiting scholars) or H (short-term staff) visas can submit application materials to the branches of China CITIC Bank that provide this service if they meet the following conditions:

The last visa is still valid or valid for no more than 12 months.

The applicant must apply for a visa in embassies and consulates in China, USA, where the visa was issued last time, and the visa category of this application must be the same as last time.

The only exception is that applicants who have obtained F (International Student Visa), J (Exchange Visiting Scholar Visa) or H 1B (Short-term Work Visa) at other US consulates in China (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu or Shenyang) can apply for the same type of visa as last time by using the visa-free service.

Applicants must go to the United States with a passport of the People's Republic of China.

Applicants who have been asked for an additional administrative hearing for their last visa application, and those who have been given the word "Approved" and printed the date in the remarks column, must make an appointment for an interview and go to the embassy for an interview in person. These applicants cannot use the interview-free service. If they use this service, the processing time of visa applications will be delayed.

Applicants who apply for F, J and H visas again must return to the same school, research institute or work unit as when they applied last time.

If a student visa applicant wants to go back to an American school to continue his studies, he must provide the official transcripts of the school when submitting an application for exemption.

Applicants who meet all the above requirements can submit the required visa application materials at CITIC Bank in person or through their representatives during working hours, including the passport containing the original US visa issued to the applicant last time.
