Where is Dai Qi from?
Katherine Tai, a Chinese American, 1974 was born in Connecticut, USA. Her ancestral home is Funing, Yancheng, Jiangsu, and she graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School. He is currently the chief trade legal adviser to the House Ways and Means Committee.
Dai Qi worked in the international trade department of several law firms in Washington, D.C. From 1996 to 1998, Dai Qi went to China on behalf of Yale University and taught English at Sun Yat-sen University.
From 2007 to 20 14, Dai Qi worked in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), during which he served as the chief consultant of China's trade law enforcement, responsible for supervising Sino-U.S. disputes in the WTO, and successfully prosecuted many cases involving China.
Since 20 17, Dai Qi has been the chief trade adviser of the House Ways and Means Committee, the main adviser of the Democratic Party and the chairman of the International Trade Committee.

On March 7, 20021local time, the US Senate voted to approve Katherine Tai as the US Trade Representative. She will be the first Asian-American and the first minority woman to hold this position.
Dai Qi's nomination as the US Trade Representative won unanimous support from the Democratic Party and party member. In the voting that day, the nomination was passed with 98 votes in favor and 0 votes against.
