Administrative divisions of Barcelona

Since 1987, the city has been divided into 10 administrative districts (Spanish for districts), and each administrative district has its own members of the city councilor's leading committee. Among them, the main urban areas are Ciutat Vella near the central coastline and its northern expansion area (L'Eixample) and Mon Deike (Sants-Montju? C) and the northern suburb of Gràcia.
