How to find universities and colleges recognized by the Canadian government?

The deadline for this list is June 1, 2065438.

I. Basic information

The federal government of Canada has no Ministry of Education, and education is the responsibility of the provinces. Because of Canada's vast territory and great differences in economic development levels among provinces, each province has established a relatively independent education system suitable for local development. Generally speaking, higher education in Canada has always maintained a high standard, attracting many international students to study and further their studies every year.

Higher education institutions recognized by the Canadian government are mainly divided into universities and colleges. Most universities are public. Generally, the undergraduate course lasts for 3-4 years, the master's degree 1-2 years and the doctor's degree lasts for 3 years. All kinds of colleges and universities mainly train applied professional and technical personnel, and generally provide college diplomas and various certificate courses, with a schooling period of 2 to 3 years, and no degree is awarded; Some schools also offer courses of 1 to 2 years. After completing their studies, they can transfer to the second and third grades of regular universities to continue their undergraduate studies.

At present, there are thousands of private schools registered as companies in Canada, and there is no effective monitoring of their majors, disciplines and teachers' equipment. China students must be cautious when applying for these private schools.
