Which district does North Point of Hong Kong belong to?
North Point covers the area from Qingfeng Street Flyover in the west to Jiankang West Road/Minkang Street in the east. North Point West, west of Battery Hill Road/Daqiang Street, commonly known as Battery Hill Area; North Point, east of Zhao Dian Street, was once called Seven Sisters District, but now only the older generation of residents use this name. Some people will take the junction of King's Road and Java Road as the boundary between North Point and Quarry Bay.
History: After the war, with the influx of new immigrants from Shanghai, the population of North Point began to become more and more. The new immigrant population is mainly concentrated in Chunyang Street, Jiahua Road, Mabao Road and other places, and most of them live in high-end new buildings. According to the Guinness Book of World Records at that time, in A.D. 1950, North Point was the most densely populated area in the world.
Besides, North Point is also known as "little shanghai". With the completion of 1957 North Point Village and the opening of North Point Wharf, North Point is more prosperous. In the1980s, the new immigrant population mainly came from Fujian, so North Point became "Little Fujian".
