History of Jin Kui Region

The name of Da 'an comes from the old place name Da 'anzhuang.

During the Qianlong period: Da 'an District was called Dawanzhuang.

Daoguang period: Dawanzhuang was renamed Daanzhuang due to the construction of Daan Town by Han immigrants from Zhangzhou, South Fujian, China.

In the first year of Guangxu (1875), a government was established in Taipei, which governed 22 street villages, among which Daan Village (including 12 families, Long 'an Village and Poxin Village), Xianeipu Village and Liuzhangli Village were all in the present Daan District.

1920: When Taipei changed its city system, in addition to the above three villages, it also included the ancient pavilion and a part of the East Gate, that is, the later Jin Ming-CHO, Fushou-CHO and Showa-CHO districts were also under the jurisdiction of Da 'an District.

1945: After the recovery of Taiwan, the above areas were merged into districts. Because Daanzhuang covers a large area and is located in the city center, it was named Jin Kui Region. It covers an area of 10.5694 square kilometers, governs 4 1, and has 408 neighboring districts with a population of about160,000.

1946: the district office is located at section 1 of xinsheng south road 148.

March 1948: the district office moved to the third section of Xinyi road/lane kloc-0/57.

1950: Taiwan Province province implements local autonomy in counties and cities, and the district head is elected by the people.

1959: the district head was changed to the official faction.

1990: The administrative division of Taipei City is redrawn, and the area east of Roosevelt Road in the former Guting District (half in Guting Town and half in Puzhuang) and the area west of Guangfu South Road in Songshan District (a small part of Xingyazhuang), the area north of the third section of Heping East Road (half in Liuzhanglizhuang) are included in the newly established Xinyi District, and the area west of the first section of Xinsheng South Road is included in Zhongzheng District.

1997: the district office was moved to No.86, Section 2 of Xinsheng South Road (Da 'an District Administration Center Building).
