Djibouti has a good geographical location. Why can't we become an economic power like Singapore?

Although Djibouti's geographical position is better than Singapore's, the local people have not made use of its geographical advantages to develop and have not established a port for trade and transportation. This is caused by the laziness of Djibouti natives, so it is not called an economic power like Singapore.

Referring to Djibouti's geographical location, Djibouti is located in the important core of the Red Sea and the Mande Strait. The Red Sea connects the Suez Canal and leads to the Indian Ocean. It can be said that the geographical location is much better than Singapore. If we put Djibouti in Singapore's development model, I believe Djibouti will be called an economic power in Africa. Unfortunately, Djibouti, a small country, does not have a complete management and governance system, and its domestic resources are relatively scarce. The scarcity of water resources and the barren land lead to the country's lack of economic ability to develop ports and sea areas.

Although Djibouti holds the most important energy transportation channel in the Red Sea and the trade transportation fortress in the Indian Ocean, Djibouti, without enough economy and manpower, can only watch other countries take advantage of these geographical advantages to develop. In a poor country where Djibouti's GDP per capita is1000 US dollars, domestic residents become more lazy and even don't want to work because of poverty. Relying on the government to help people live, in turn, Singapore countries will make full use of the important geographical position of the Malacca Strait to develop trade routes between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.

At present, Djibouti is unable to develop its own coastal ports, so the Djibouti government simply leases the right to use the coast to some economic powers for military bases and other training purposes. Only by adding the rental income can we barely survive. Djibouti and Singapore have very different development paths.
