The new ikad card in Malaysia has the security feature of 17, which replaces the old immigration card.

Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Tarmugl presided over the promotion of "i-kad" with 17 security features launched by the Immigration Bureau on March 3rd. This new ID card is used to replace the old immigration card previously issued to foreign workers, foreign workers' maids, overseas students, trade officials and foreign citizens living in Malaysia to participate in the second home project.

Interior Minister Rashi revealed at the promotion ceremony of the I-card that the I-card includes not only the built-in chip, but also the thumb fingerprints and color photos of the owner's left and right hands, plus other security features, so it cannot be copied.

Laxi revealed that following the implementation of the two-hour international passport service in Malacca, a two-hour Malaysian card service will be launched.

He said that according to Malaysia's Ninth Plan, the Ministry of the Interior plans to build administrative center buildings of the Ministry of the Interior in all states of the country to provide people with more effective delivery system services.
