The Xiamen Undersea Sightseeing Tunnel is located in the waters of Xunjiang Port.
The Xiang'an Tunnel is a cross-sea passage connecting Huli District and Xiang'an District in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China. It is located in the waters of Xunjiang Port and is an important part of the urban trunk road in the northeast of Xiamen City. It is 6.05 kilometers long and 4.2 kilometers wide across the sea. The deepest point is 70 meters below sea level. The Xiang'an Tunnel consists of a surface road, an underwater tunnel part, a service opening, a two-way entrance and each ramp. The main section of the tunnel is arranged from southwest to northeast.
The Xiang'an Tunnel is designed with a three-hole tunnel scheme, with three-lane main tunnels on both sides, a service tunnel in the middle, and a ventilation shaft on each left and right tunnel. The plan layout of the tunnel adopts a combination of curves to avoid or reduce the adverse impact of weak structural zones on the tunnel. It is built in the form of three holes, with main tunnels on both sides and a service tunnel in the middle. The tunnel section adopts a nearly circular three-center arch.
