Why is there no train from Golmud to Dunhuang?

There is no train from Golmud to Dunhuang, mainly for the following reasons:

1. Geographical reasons: Golmud and Dunhuang are far away, with a large area of no man's land and desert in the middle, which makes railway construction difficult.

2. Economic reasons: the transportation demand between Golmud and Dunhuang is relatively small, and the economic benefit of railway construction is not high, so the railway construction department has not planned to build this railway.

However, the railway from Dunhuang to Golmud is under planning and there will be new development in the future.
