Three Gorges history

The Three Gorges, formerly known as Triangle Chung, is named Triangle Chung because it is located at the intersection of three rivers: Dahanxi, Sanxiaxi and Hengxi. During the Japanese occupation period (1920), great changes took place in the whole administrative region of Taiwan Province. Three religions were changed to the Three Gorges with similar Japanese pronunciation, and the Three Gorges Village in Haishan County, Taipei State was established. Later, due to the increase of residents, it gradually prospered and was upgraded to Three Gorges Street. After the war, it was renamed Three Gorges Town, Taipei County.

Taiwan Province Province began to be documented only about 400 years ago, before which it was called prehistory. Up to now, ten sites such as Gu Weishan have been discovered in this area, and it is judged that the Three Gorges belongs to Yuanshan culture. The old name of the earliest literature in this area is actually Sanjiao, which later evolved into a triangular surge and even the Three Gorges today. The rivers and foothills in the Three Gorges area were inhabited by Leilang people before the arrival of the Han people, and there were Atayal people on the high mountains. According to legend, in the early Ming Dynasty, Zheng walked from the south to Keelung (another name for Keelung City, Taiwan Province Province) and once passed the upper reaches of the Danshui River, where he saw grotesque mountain shapes such as Round Mountain and Stone Mountain. At that time, the Three Gorges was still an undeveloped primitive zone, and only a few people lived near the river bank. In the 24th year of Kangxi (A.D. 1685), Jesuli Chen, a native of Anxi, Quanzhou, was awarded the sea reclamation photo of Haishan Villa. The early reclamation route, starting from Nanjing CuO, slowly developed to the triangle surge. After the early years of Qianlong (AD 1736), there were immigrants from Nanjing to Long 'enpu, and Sanjiaoyong gradually became the center of reclamation. Quanzhou people, Zhangzhou people and Hakka people all have immigrants, among which Quanzhou people are the most, especially Anxi county people. In the forty-second year of Qianlong (A.D. 1777), Anxi people and Liucuopu Hakkas cultivated citrus orchards, which caused a struggle between Fujian people and Hakkas. After the loss of the Hakka people, they moved to Zhongli, Yangmei, Sanjiaoyong and Ying Ge Stone, becoming the villages of Quanzhou people. Since then, Quanzhou people have been fighting with Hakka people and Zhangzhou people for nearly a hundred years.

1In April, 895, the Qing court was defeated in the Sino-Japanese War, and the treaty of shimonoseki was signed, ceding Taiwan Province Province and Penghu to Japan. The Japanese army landed in Australia on May 29th of that year and entered Taipei in June 1 1. In late June, the Japanese army was ambushed by Hakkas headed by Hu Jiayou, Wu Tangxing, Jiang Shaozu and Xu Xiang in the process of advancing to Taoyuan and Hsinchu, and the troops suffered a slight setback. 13 At 5 o'clock in the morning on July 5, 35 grain carriers led by Cao, a special agent of the Japanese Guards Division, were attacked by volunteers from Sanjiaoyong near Long Enpu, the Soviet Union, Lin Jiuyuan and Chen Xiaochai. After several hours of fierce fighting, almost all the troops were wiped out, and only four people escaped (at 7 o'clock in the morning of the movie "1895", 894 Japanese troops led by Zhang Jun Shaozuo of Fangcheng were ambushed near Fenshuilun when they wanted to go to Daxi Town (now Daxi Town, Taoyuan County) along the pit valley. After two bloody days and nights, four Japanese soldiers disguised as beggars fled for help. On July 16, Major General Yamamoto Shinsei of the detachment led a team to reinforce. The Japanese army suffered hundreds of casualties in this battle, while the insurgents only suffered dozens of casualties, which is known as the Battle of Fenshuilun in history. Because of these rebellions, the Japanese army began to burn villages and kill people in Taoyuan, Zhongli and even Dahanxi Valley in late July.

1920, the administrative division of Taiwan Province was greatly changed, and the Three Gorges Village in Haishan County, Taipei State was established. Later, due to the increase of residents, it gradually prospered and was upgraded to Three Gorges Street.

1946, Three Gorges Town in Taipei County was established after the war.
