What is the difference between Taipei, Taichung and Tainan?

Update 1:

I would like to know if there is anything special about Kaohsiung, Tainan?

Taipei City is the capital, the largest city, and belongs to the hospital Municipalities (municipalities directly under the Central Government), Taichung City is the third largest city and is a municipality under provincial jurisdiction, and Tainan is also a municipality under provincial jurisdiction. Taipei City is more like Hong Kong, China. It is a busy metropolis. In the MRT, everyone walks very fast, even when taking the escalator. As a Taichung native, I am not used to this and I don’t know what I am rushing for. Taichung City presents a laid-back city, as does Tainan City, but Tainan prefers historical sites (Chihkan Tower, Eternal Golden City, Anping Castle, etc.) and mangrove areas (Sicao Water Forest, Taijiang Inland Sea Park).

Taichung gives people a leisurely feeling. Recommended leisurely city attractions include the Science Museum, Ching-Kuo Avenue, the Civic Plaza extending from Ching-Kuo Avenue, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Museum’s Circle View Restaurant, Tunghai University Church, Tunghai University Night Market, and Feng Chia University Night Market, Taichung Park, Yizhong Street Night Market

Taipei is a metropolitan area, similar to Hong Kong, China. Taichung is relatively small, while Tainan is famous for its monuments and Taiwan is famous for its snacks. Taiwan should be said to be divided into northern, central and southern parts, plus the eastern part. Each has its own style and landscape throughout the year. You can refer to my blog and that of friends from Hong Kong, China. I hope it will be helpful for your itinerary. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us, thank you!
