Tanghe county is hilly in the east, southeast and northeast, and alluvial plain of Tanghe River in the west and middle.

Tanghe county is located in the southwest of Henan Province and the east of Nanyang Basin. The county is connected to Xinye County and Nanyang City in the west, Sheqi County in the north, Biyang County and Tongbai County in the east, and Xiangzhou District and Zaoyang City in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province in the south. It is located at 32 21'-32 55' north latitude and112 28'-12' east longitude, with a total land area of 25,655. In ancient times, it was the official road from Chang 'an and Luoyang in Kyoto to Jianghan Plain, with rich products and prosperous population. Has always been a battleground for military strategists.

Tanghe River, known as Tang Zhou and Bizhou in ancient times, has a long history and is a pearl on the land of Zhongzhou.
