The nature of the United States and Russia is different, so it is rare for Chinese in the United States to participate in politics in Russia. But it will change with the strength of the motherland. More than 70% of Russia's population is Russian, and 192 ethnic groups such as Tatar, Ukraine, Bashkir, Chuvash, Chechnya, Armenia, awar, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Belarus are all ethnic minorities.

The United States itself is an immigrant country, so Chinese can participate in politics. Candidates for state senators in the United States must be at least 30 years old, have obtained American citizenship for nine years, and are legal residents of the state they want to represent in Congress before they can stand for election. Therefore, former US Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Trump's nominated US Secretary of Transportation Zhao Xiaolan are all Chinese.

Russia's political system is different from that of the United States. As long as the United States has American citizenship, it is an American citizen and can participate in politics after nine years of naturalization. Russia is dominated by the Russian nation, while the Chinese are only a minority. Not only in the United States, but also in many immigrant countries in South America, there are Asian politicians. Former Peruvian President Fujimori is Japanese, and President Chen of Peru's Council of Ministers is from China. Julius Chan, the Prime Minister of New Guinea, is also from China.

It is difficult for China people to enter Russian officialdom, just as it is difficult for Russians to come to China to be officials. Only immigrant countries widely recruit talents to serve as officials for some foreign immigrants or their descendants. Countries are different in nature and cannot be compared.
