Migration factors of Gaocheng people

According to records, the ancestors of Gaocheng people migrated from Shanxi: due to the frequent shortage of soldiers in the provinces of the Central Plains during the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, it caused a tragic scene of bare land and sparse population, and fertile land was left uncultivated. Since the invasion of Mongolia, the establishment of the Yuan Dynasty Empire was extremely cruel to the Han people. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the Han people were forbidden to carry weapons, and its minister Bayan called for the killing of five Han people, namely Zhang, Wang, Liu, Li and Zhao, so the Han people had almost no place to live. In order to gain life from death, Liu Futong in Henan Province first revolted in Yingchuan. In A.D. 135 1 year (11th year of Yuan Shundi), the people of Henan, Huai and Lu, under the leadership of Liu Futong, fought the Yuan Army for thirteen years. The deaths of people in northern Jiangsu, northern Anhui, Henan and Shandong are already seven or eight out of ten.

After the defeat of Liu Futong, the generals of the Yuan Dynasty had different ambitions, fighting with each other for the city and land. Zhu Yuanzhang went out of Jianghuai, took Shandong, resumed Henan, settled the capital, settled in Wang Baoyu, destroyed Zhang Siqi in Guanzhong, and fortified China according to risks. The war lasted for sixteen years. During the war, the army had no food, killing the old and the weak for food, and the people fled into exile. Beijing has collected more than 200,000 bodies. The Yellow River has burst many times, and countless people have died.

In May 1399 (thirty-first year of Ming Taizu), Taizu collapsed and Sun Yun became king. In July, Yan, the fourth son of Mao, was defeated by Jingnan for more than three years. For example, there was a bloody battle in Xiongxian County, fighting for the truth and beheading 30,000 people.

In A.D. 1403, after Yan came to power, he was exiled to restore social economy. Hebei, Henan and Huaibei have become the main areas, so people who moved to Shanxi are more practical.

At that time, Shaanxi was the base of Chahan Temur and his son Wang Bao (Shilingguan in the north and the north bank of the Yellow River in the south). Because of its dangerous geographical position, strict rule, less war spread, relatively stable society, more births and fewer deaths, and the influx of refugees, it has formed a densely populated and narrow area, so immigrants take other places as their real goals.
