Why do so many people admire western society, culture and civilization?

Quite simply, the West is rich, with a high per capita GDP and a high standard of living. Normal people envy it, love my house and my dog, and they also worship the so-called system and civilization. This envy will not stop until China's per capita GDP catches up with them. Therefore, it is very important for the late-developing countries to make every effort to develop their economy. Once the development is slow, the "elites" can't wait to pat their asses and go to the developed countries, and their own economy will not develop, so they will never turn over and have a bright future.
