Passport issues

It is normal for a passport to be lost or damaged to be reissued. I am engaged in immigration and study abroad at Hezhong Company in Wuhan, so I know a lot about passports. The following is the information from the official website of the Wuhan Exit-Entry Administration Office:

Source of reissue of passport after loss (damage):

1. Conditions for service

1 , permanent residents of this city, or overseas Chinese living in this city, except for those who are not allowed to leave the country by law.

2. If the original passport of the license holder is lost within the validity period, you can apply for a replacement passport.

3. The passport holder returns to his country for a short period of time and loses his passport.

4. The lost passport has exceeded the validity period and is not within the scope of reissue. You can apply for an expired passport according to the procedures.

2. Procedures

1. Submit the "People's Republic of China and the National Ordinary Passport Application Form".

2. Submit copies of the city’s household registration book and ID card, and submit the originals for verification.

3. Submit the loss report certificate issued by the public security authority of the place where the passport was lost or where the registered residence is.

4. If the license holder does not have permanent residence in Wuhan City, he must submit proof of residence abroad (green card or settlement visa) and temporary residence certificate and copy issued by the public security authority of the place of temporary residence.

5. The following personnel also need to submit their unit opinions:

(1) State functionaries serving in party and government agencies at all levels, people’s congresses, political consultative conferences, people’s courts, people’s procuratorates, and people’s organizations , Retired (retired) cadres at the department (bureau) level or above;

(2) Members of the leadership team of public institutions, middle-level (deputy department) or above managers, retired (retired) departments (bureaus) Cadres above grade 1;

(3) Legal representatives, middle-level managers and above of state-owned enterprises, state-owned equity representatives in state-controlled and joint-stock enterprises;

(4) Others need to be submitted Personnel registered include, for example, those involved in national politics, economic security and state secrets, staff in key positions in financial and taxation, scientific research and teaching agencies, state-owned enterprises and institutions, and in-service personnel with senior professional titles and doctorate degrees.

6. In addition to submitting the original and photocopies of the household registration book and ID card, persons under the age of 16 should also: 1) Submit for verification the resident ID cards, household registration book, and certificates marked with their parents’ ID cards. Original documents proving the relationship between children (such as the same household register, birth certificate or only child certificate that can prove the establishment of the guardianship relationship) and submit copies. If your parents are overseas, submit copies of your passport and overseas residence certificate, a power of attorney and the household registration and ID card of the person being entrusted. 2) Issue a written opinion signed by the parents agreeing to the minor's application, and be accompanied by the parents. If one parent is unable to accompany the minor, a written opinion and a power of attorney signed by him/herself agreeing to the minor's application must be submitted together with the accompanying parent.

7. Active-duty military personnel must submit the approval document, officer ID card, and military ID card registration form issued by the party committee or political agency above the military level of their unit and submit a copy.

8. Submit other materials deemed necessary by the public security exit and entry department.

9. The application must be submitted in person, and the submitted copy must be on A4 paper.
