The upstream reservoir is located in Awati Korlton Farm, 47 kilometers northwest of the county seat. The section from the county seat to Wuluqie Town is a four-grade asphalt pavement, and the rest are gravel roads and dirt roads, which can reach the upstream reservoir dam.

The scenery around the upstream reservoir is oasis and Gobi desert. The water in the reservoir is clear and calm, and wild ducks flock among reeds, like green pearls on the Gobi Desert.
