Do American undergraduates still need to take IELTS when they go to Australia for graduate studies?

The answer is: no!

Graduates who have obtained undergraduate degrees in English-speaking countries generally do not need to provide IELTS scores (except for specific majors) when applying for graduate students in Australia, as long as the GPA during the undergraduate period meets the relevant requirements of the applicant institution.

However, different institutions have different requirements, and some majors, such as social work and nursing, may require applicants to provide additional IELTS scores.
