Does it take a year for Hong Kong to immigrate to the United States before returning to China?

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said that in order to get a U.S. green card, you need to land in the United States once every six months. Instead of specifying how long you will stay, specify the date of departure and stipulate that you cannot leave the United States for half a year at a time. The existing regulations on the entry and exit of permanent residents have not changed:

1. All legal residents do not need to apply for any permission to return to the United States within 180 days after leaving the country;

Any permanent resident who has left the country for more than one year needs to apply for re-entry permit.

3. If you leave the country for more than 180 days, but within one year, although the law does not stipulate that you need to apply for a re-entry permit to the United States, according to the immigration law, the customs has the right to conduct "special treatment and inspection" to verify whether the relevant personnel really want to stay in the United States.

CBP emphasizes that green card residents who have left the United States for more than 180 days, if they have no tax return records, may also become a factor for customs officials to determine whether passengers intend to give up their identity.
