Soldiers preparing for war will go abroad from next month.

Don't notify the Department of Defense.

The Ministry of National Defense will simplify the procedures for full-time national service personnel and war-ready soldiers to go abroad from 1 next month; Soldiers in combat readiness (NSmen) who have completed the combat readiness training cycle and are listed in the reserve list will not need to notify the Ministry of National Defense when they go abroad, while full-time national service personnel (NSF) will not need to apply for permission to go abroad if they go abroad for less than three months.

According to the statement of the Ministry of National Defense, during the government budget debate in March this year, the government announced in Congress that it accepted the suggestions put forward by the fourth "Record 4", including simplifying the procedures for full-time national service personnel and combat readiness personnel to go abroad.

The Committee believes that with the globalization of the economy, more soldiers in combat readiness and full-time national service personnel have to work or travel abroad frequently, so it is necessary to simplify the procedures for going abroad and bring convenience to them.

From next month 1, the combat readiness soldiers who have completed the combat readiness service training cycle and are included in the reserve list do not need to inform the Ministry of National Defense when going abroad. However, if they go abroad for six months or more, they must apply for an exit permit.

According to the new procedure, those soldiers in combat readiness who need to apply for a permit to go abroad do not need to return the permit to the Ministry of National Defense when they return home. The Ministry of National Defense will obtain the information of returning combat readiness soldiers through the system of the Immigration and Checkpoint Bureau.

In addition, full-time national service personnel who have gone abroad for less than 3 months do not need to apply for a permit to go abroad. Therefore, they can stay abroad for a short time on weekends or while on duty, without applying for a permit to go abroad.
