Hongqi immigrants Wu

Since our country has become strong, many people want to join our nation. Our nationality is the most difficult to obtain in the world, not to mention that the probability of foreigners joining our nationality is very low, and even China people can't restore our nationality after emigrating.

However, there are exceptions to everything. After waiting for more than 200 years, a nation finally joined our country and successfully obtained our nationality. This country is Dammam.

Then, why did this nation wait so long to join our country? What happened during this period?

When it comes to Dammam people, we have to talk about a history of more than 200 years ago. In fact, the ancestors of Dammam people are not from China, but Nepalese. They were called Gurkhas in the Qing Dynasty and lived in the Gurkha tribe near Tibet.

During the Qianlong period, Gurkhas often did evil on the border of Qing Dynasty and overthrew two small dynasties. After successively occupying two small countries, the Gurkha tribe expanded day by day and even targeted the southern Tibet in the Qing Dynasty.

At this time, a scandal happened in southern Tibet, which gave these people a reason to successfully enter southern Tibet. During this period, the sixth Panchen Lama died in Tibet, and Qianlong specially allocated a huge sum of money from the state treasury as solatium, which turned out to be the fuse of this war. Bahuktu, a brother of the Panchen Lama, got this huge sum of money, while Shamarba, another brother, didn't.

I didn't expect Shamarba to be a loser, and then went directly to Gurkha tribe, hoping to make a comeback with the help of this tribe, but I didn't expect to just follow Gurkha's wishes.

At that time, the Qing troops stationed in Tibet did not want to fight for various reasons, so they promised to give Gurkha a certain amount of money every year to persuade Gurkha to surrender. However, when it was time to distribute the money, Gurkha found himself cheated and didn't get a penny.

In a rage, the Gurkha tribe invaded Tibet again in 179 1 year. Now this has angered Gan Long. In order to save face, Gan Long directly asked Fu Kang 'an to assemble 10,000 soldiers and horses to go to Tibet, ready to fight until the Gurkha tribe knelt down and begged for mercy.

Gurkha, however powerful, is only a small tribe. Nature could not resist the fighters of the Qing Dynasty, and was soon beaten out of the water.

During the war, some Gurkhas got lost in southern Tibet. At this time, southern Tibet was completely controlled by the Qing Dynasty. They don't want to surrender, so they have to hide in the forest and live by hunting and wild fruit.

A year later, this group of people finally decided to surrender to the Qing Dynasty because they could not resist natural disasters, hoping to live a stable life. However, Gurkha has always had no martial arts. Qing was worried that they had ulterior motives and refused their request.

In desperation, they had to return to Nepal, but they were once again rejected by the Nepalese government. Now that they have come out to see the world, it is impossible for them to live in the forest any more. In order to survive, they had to settle in Geelong town and become stateless.

Later, with the British invasion, Nepal's regime was in jeopardy. Some refugees came here to live with Gurkhas who originally lived here, and then married Tibetans, and gradually evolved into Dammam today.

Earlier, China was so weak that even the existing ethnic groups in China could not achieve harmony. Naturally, there is no extra ability to accept the Dammam nationality as a foreign ethnic group. Moreover, it is very difficult for a foreign nation to join China itself, and it is impossible to complete it in a short time.

Before joining China, Dammam and Tibetans lived in the same area. They have blue eyes and their appearance is very similar to that of Tibetans. People who haven't been in contact for a long time can hardly recognize where they are from.

However, although they look like Tibetans, their treatment can't be compared with Tibetans. Because they have no nationality, they can't get the land to live on, they don't have a house, let alone enjoy education.

In order to survive, Dammam people had to build simple houses with stones and thatch as their shelter. This kind of simple house has a high risk factor and can hardly withstand the attack of wind and rain, but they can't build a safer house and have to make do with it.

Fortunately, Dammam people still have the means to make a living. Men are mainly engaged in carpenters, blacksmiths, etc. Women can't do heavy manual work, so they stay at home to knit or do housework. These people are also good at climbing mountains. They can be tour guides for immigrants or transport materials to the mountains in exchange for salaries. With the characteristics of hard work, Daman people survived smoothly.

But as long as they can't get our nationality, they can't enjoy the rights and protection of our citizens and are often rejected by Tibetans.

They can't even get into Tibetan houses, and even if they go to help, they can only stay outside the house, let alone let them drink water and eat.

In order to have a more stable life, Dammam people always want to join our country and become our citizens.

With the establishment of New China, China has finally turned a new chapter and ushered in a new situation. Ethnic contradictions are decreasing day by day, and even Dammam people have been greatly affected and are no longer excluded.

Of course, ethnic integration has always been a big project, and even if they are no longer excluded, there is no way to arrange it properly in a short time.

May 26th, 2003 is the most exciting day for all Dammam people. On this day, they finally became a member of China and a part of Tibetan areas in China, enjoying all the treatment that Tibetans should have. After more than 200 years of waiting, these stateless people finally got the result they wanted.

In order to resettle Dammam people, the central government specially allocated funds to build a Dammam village for these 40 "newcomers" with less than 100 people to live in.

The government also invested more than 200,000 yuan to build drinking water infrastructure for the village. Even the furniture is new, so they can just move in.

In terms of education, the government has also built a special school so that every child can receive education. In order to improve the living standard of Daman village, the government invested in building roads and installing street lamps, which made them feel the care from the motherland thoroughly.

Everything the country has done for Dammam Village is in everyone's heart. Every household in this village has a flagpole with a five-star red flag.

Nowadays, whenever someone looks into their blue eyes, they will proudly say "I'm from China". Daman people have been waiting for this simple and simple sentence for more than 200 years. Fortunately, they finally arrived and finally had a chance to say this proudly!
