Chinese Singaporeans are China people who were born or immigrated to Singapore and hold Singapore citizenship or right of abode. In 20 10, there were nearly 2.8 million Chinese in Singapore, accounting for 74. 1% of Singapore's permanent population, making it the largest ethnic group in Singapore.

Singapore is the only country outside China with a majority Chinese population. The early trade and development of Singapore as a commercial center witnessed the growth of the huge Chinese community in the colony. Chinese mainly come from Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan and other southeast coastal provinces of China, including Guangdong, Fujian, Chaozhou, Hainan and Hakka ethnic groups. Among them, Minnan people account for 40%, followed by Chaoshan people, Guangfu people, Hakka people, Hainan people and Fuzhou people.
