Where can I get a passport?

Passports are handled at the following locations:

1. Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the household registration is located, and the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the military stationed troops or work units are located. If you are in a different place, you can generally apply for a passport at the exit-entry management office of the local public security bureau, but you need to consult the local immigration bureau for specific requirements.

2. When you apply for a passport, you need to be present in person and bring valid identity documents. The process usually includes filling in the application form, taking photos, inputting fingerprints, signing and paying the work fee. After the processing is completed, the staff will give the applicant a receipt as a voucher for getting a passport. Passports can be collected by hand or by post.
