Brief introduction of Zaoshi hydropower station project

The normal water level of the reservoir is 1.40m, the total storage capacity is 1.44 million cubic meters, and the flood control storage capacity is 783 million cubic meters. The dam type is roller compacted concrete gravity dam, with a dam axis length of 35 1m, a dam crest elevation of 148m and a maximum dam height of 88m. The hub project consists of RCC gravity dam, powerhouse behind the right bank dam, irrigation canal head on the left bank and inclined ship lift (reserved) on the right bank, with a total investment of 3.252 billion yuan.

The joint operation of Zaoshi Reservoir, Jiangya Reservoir (built) and Yichongqiao Reservoir (to be built), together with the overall flood control of Lishui River Basin, has raised the flood control standard in Song Li area below Shimen to once every 20 years in the near future, once every 50 years in the long term, and once every 50 years in areas above Shimen.

The survey and design work of Zaoshi Reservoir began in 1950s, from 1959 to 196 1 stop, and the project planning work was carried out again after 1998 flood. In 2000, the project proposal was approved by the state, and the project officially started in February 2004. In September of the same year, the river closure was successful, and in 2007.
