Guandukou Town was formed by the merger of Nanmu, Huo Feng and Guandukou Town in June196 and June 10, and it is located at the exit of Wuxia of the Yangtze River. 1992, Wulidui Village and Honghualing Village under Dongrangkou Town are under the jurisdiction of this town, and Taifantou in Wulidui Village is designated as a new immigrant town. In 2008, due to the need of landslide relocation, Huangtupo community in this county designated Wulidui village and two adjacent villages as new sites to avoid relocation and named Shennong community.
