Wang Yanshou moved to Furong as a filial piety

During the Xianping and Jingde reigns of Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Wang Wei, who was the judge of Dali Temple at that time, was appointed by the emperor to tour the south of the Yangtze River to visit the people's sentiments. During his inspection in Changshan, Wang Wei died of a sudden illness due to overwork. His five sons rushed to Changshan one after another to attend the funeral and deal with the funeral affairs. According to the genealogy, in order to choose a place to bury their father who was a high-ranking official, Wang Wei and his sons searched for Feng Shui treasures near Changshan County for many days. Later, they finally visited Furong, east of Changshan City. Seeing its beautiful mountains and rivers and pleasant scenery, they helped the coffin. burial. After the burial, his eldest son Wang Yan built a thatched hut next to the tomb and stayed in mourning for his father for three years to fulfill his filial piety. The locals all praised Wang Yan's filial piety. Later, Wang Yan settled down in Furong Zhangshe Village, which has a history of nearly a thousand years. The Wang family moved to Changshan because Wang Wei was buried here, so the descendants of the Wang family all call Wang Wei the ancestor of the Wang family in Zhangshe.

Wang Wei, courtesy name Shiying, was originally from Taiyuan, Shanxi, and was born in Jiande, Zhejiang. He was awarded the title of Jinshi in the second year of Xianping of the Song Dynasty (999), five years later than Wang Shao, the first Jinshi in Changshan County. It can be said that it is history. One of the early Jinshi in Shang Dynasty.
