What's special about Quebec, Canada?

Quebec is a province of Canada and the only province in Canada whose official language is French (Canada is a federal country, and each province has its own official language). Quebec residents are mostly descendants of French immigrants, unlike other provinces, mainly British immigrants.

It was the French who first colonized Canada, which was then called "New France". Later, the British defeated the French in Quebec, and France ceded the North American colony to Britain. Later, British colonies in North America established Canadian province, in which "Upper Canada" was a British colony (today's southern Ontario) and "Lower Canada" was a French colony (today's Quebec).

French residents have always maintained their own language and culture in Quebec, which is the most special place in Quebec compared with other places in Canada.
