There are folds and faults in the strata in Xinshao County. Folds mainly include: Longshan Dome, north of Chen Jiafang and east of Sunjiaqiao, along the core of the dome, gold and antimony mineralization is common; Daxingshan-Longkouxi anticline; Pingshang-Baomaling anticline; Tian Xin Ping-Curry syncline; Changchongpu-Douling syncline; Crossroads-Tiekeng syncline. The fault zones mainly include: the thrust zone at the eastern edge of Longshan dome distributed from Fuxi to Taizhimiao and Maizipai; Copper column beach-Gao Qiao thrust belt located between Daxingshan, Longkouxi anticline and Caixi to Baomaling; Longxipu-Zhongyuanpu thrust belt, which is developed in Wuhu Temple, Longxipu and Zhongyuanpu. According to the records of 12 rainfall points in Xinshao County, the heavy rain, rainstorm, rainy day, snowy day and annual precipitation in Tanxi, Hongxi, Dahetan and Pingping are obviously more than those in other places, and the rainstorm in Tanxi is the most. The maximum annual precipitation was 2351 mm in 1994. The maximum monthly precipitation was 547mm in June, 1995, which accounted for 36% of that year's precipitation. The maximum daily precipitation reached 225.5 mm on May 22nd, 1998, accounting for 13% of the annual precipitation.
