The latest policy of entering Mexico

People who hold China's ordinary official passport and personal passport, hold valid American tourist, transit or business visas, and travel to Mexico for tourism, transit or business on flights from the United States, can enter Mexico without a visa.

I. Customs regulations:

(1) Each passenger can bring personal luggage and some limited items into Mexico duty-free.

(2) The relevant provisions on passengers' luggage are as follows:

1. Personal luggage refers to necessary clothes, shoes, toiletries and toiletries consistent with your stay in Mexico. Such as accompanying babies, but also baby products, such as baby seats, portable cradles, cribs, walkers and so on. Bring baby products, but don't bring babies.

2. (3) The duty-free articles that passengers can bring into Mexico are 1 or several duty-free articles.

If you enter the country by land, each passenger can bring in duty-free goods not exceeding $75. From June 26th to August 3rd1,1October1to the following year1October 10 (subject to each notice), the limit will be raised to USD 300.

If you enter the country by air or sea, you can bring up to $300 duty-free goods.

In order to prove the value of duty-free goods, passengers should carry invoices, receipts or other certificates with them.

It is strictly forbidden to bring the following items into Mexico: live fish (including fry, young fish and adult fish), fresh frozen fish, turtle eggs, poppy seeds and poppy seed powder, cannabis and its seeds and finished products (such as extracts and juices). Opium juice, extracts and smoking products, children's stickers containing insulting and grotesque contents, causing violence, self-harm and other antisocial contents, chemicals such as thallium sulfate, pesticides (see Mexican Customs website for details), heroin, morphine drugs, turtles or turtle skins, and items that have been declared as cultural relics by the Mexican Ministry of Education.

Mexican customs may take restrictive measures against the above-mentioned prohibited articles and their means of delivery, and impose penalties such as confiscation of articles, fines and legal sanctions on the carrier.

Mexican Customs has the right to question and reject your declared value and make its own valuation.

(4) Passenger baggage inspection

Except for the holders of diplomatic passports, all passengers' luggage entering Mexico must go through the X-ray machine inspection of Mexican customs and the random sampling procedure of signal lights.

After the luggage of inbound passengers is checked by X-ray machine, it also needs to go through the random sampling procedure of signal lamp. If the green light is displayed, the luggage can pass normally; If the red light is on, passengers must hand over their luggage to customs officers for manual inspection. If illegal articles are found, customs officers will record the violations in writing and deal with them accordingly.

If the goods worth less than $3,000 are not declared due to negligence, passengers can admit their negligence in writing, pay taxes and take the goods after accepting the fine. The total amount of taxes and fines paid shall not exceed 1 15% of the value of the goods.

If passengers find that some of the articles they are carrying are articles that must be brought in with a permit when they arrive at the customs, they can declare their abandonment and avoid being fined.

Second, special tips

(1) When entering or leaving Mexico, you must strictly abide by the laws and regulations of the Mexican Customs on foreign passengers carrying goods and cash and the provisions of animal and plant quarantine. Pay special attention not to bring food that is prohibited or restricted from entering the country.

(2) Hand luggage and checked luggage of passengers entering Mexico can be randomly checked. Even if the spot check signal light shows green light, customs officers have the right to decide to open the box for manual inspection according to the inspection results of the X-ray machine. If there is any violation, the passengers should be dealt with.

(3) Because Mexico is far from China, many tourists from China will go to many countries and go shopping once. If you buy more goods in your luggage when you enter Mexico, you will be subject to customs duties. You can show the joint ticket to the customs official and inform the itinerary for understanding.

(4) If the total amount of cash (including all currencies) brought into or out of Mexico exceeds 1 10,000 USD, it needs to be declared.

(5) Before going to Mexico, please consult the National Alien Quarantine Center whether it is necessary to inject a certain vaccine. The Mexican government does not require foreigners to issue any quarantine certificates.

Citizens of China leave or enter the country from ports open to the outside world or designated ports, and are subject to inspection by frontier inspection organs.
