Why did China experience such a long feudal society?

First, because China's social organization is relatively stable, China people have maintained cultural identity and political identity throughout history, and political identity is largely due to the unique secularism of Chinese civilization, with Confucianism as the representative. Since the Han Dynasty, Confucianism has been ruling the whole of China, especially the imperial examination system, which lasted for more than 1000 years, making this social organization form continue until the Revolution of 1911. This ideological environment makes China's centralized politics more stable than any civilization. This is the internal cause. Second, the geographical location of China is conducive to the unity and continuity of China culture. Compared with the disasters in ancient Europe, China has been in a relatively isolated and sustained state. Although this protected the unity and continuity of China's traditional civilization, it also made the development of Chinese civilization relatively slow, and even sometimes stagnated. Just as constant disasters make Europe the cradle of modern civilization, relative stability and prosperity make China fall behind in technology. The backwardness of technology leads to the relative conservatism of social organization forms.
