There are such people, but only a few.

Most of these people are over 40 years old or even older, and their ideas were formed in the special era of planned economy.

They are proud of being Shanghainese (living in the urban area), and look down on outsiders, not only outsiders, but also native Shanghainese, including Pudong, Nanhui, Jinshan, Qingpu, Baoshan and Chongming in Shanghai ...... They all refer to foreigners and Shanghainese as "country people".

However, it is this group of Shanghainese whose ancestral home is actually in northern Jiangsu, Ningbo, Shandong and even beyond. They or their parents emigrated from War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression to the 1950s or earlier.

Today's Shanghai is full of rivers and rivers, and the competition is fierce. This narrow regional concept has long been abandoned by young people now.
