The reserve is connected to Baiyi Township in Songming County in the north, Wuhua District in the west and Guandu District in the south and east. The residential areas in the area are selected from 28 residential (village) groups in 8 communities (village committees), including Huayugou Community, Maichong Village Committee, Shangba Village Committee, Zhongba Village Committee, Baoyun Village Committee, Yuan Qing Village Committee, Jinxing Community and Xiaoba Community.
