I founded my own "Township Enterprise Staff University"
The year 2000 is an unforgettable year.
The frustration of failing the college entrance examination made me feel like I was being laughed at by the whole world every moment. My life seemed to have lost its direction, and my whole body and mind felt like being whipped repeatedly with a whip. Worry, worry about tomorrow, and confusion about life made me exhausted mentally and physically. The frustration of not being able to go to college made me feel that the rest of my life was about to slide into endless darkness.
Some people say that when God closes a door for you, he will definitely open a window for you. It may be the fate that has been predestined for you. During that period of confusion, I suddenly received the message from Taishan. The admission notice from the Township Enterprise Staff University, the large ESM envelope with a picture of the blue earth, and the large gilded letters on the admission notice sparkled in the sun. My name was written in the middle of the envelope. At that time, I felt that every word was So pleasing to the eye, so shiny.
Although I did not get into the ideal university in my mind, this sudden notification still gave me recognition and hope. After all, I can continue to learn, continue to grow, and continue to move forward with my dreams. .
After hesitating for two days, I clearly remember that it was September 22, 2000. I packed my bags, listened to the song "Children Leaving Home" by Chen Xing, and set off for Tai'an. station train.
When I first arrived at the township enterprise, I was very disappointed at first glance. The old teaching building with long white porcelain tiles, a small canteen, low and dim dormitories, and a walled city the size of a basketball court 's campus.
This is my university? Is this the university where I will live for several years to come?
At that time, my heart was a little broken and I was resisting. When I thought about other students who were admitted to the vibrant and spacious university campus, there was a huge psychological gap, and I felt very lost.
Fortunately, several classmates from Linyi also chose this school. Fortunately, I met good teachers who will be unforgettable in my life. Fortunately, this school laid too many foundations for my subsequent entrepreneurial success. .
With the mentality of taking things as they come, I started my college life with some helplessness. That year I became a freshman at Taishan Township Enterprise Staff University.
Our counselor Song Yubing was the first teacher I came into contact with. He was young, enthusiastic, energetic, and handsome. His patience and enthusiasm touched me, and I quickly integrated into this school. Small campus.
In that era, the entire society was still in a relatively low stage of production value. A teacher with an intermediate professional title paid 7 yuan per class, a deputy high school student paid 8 yuan, and a senior high school student paid 9 yuan. Shopping at the Jiayuan Supermarket in front of the school was very cheap. , the meat roasting on Leigushi Road costs 5 cents a piece, the Geely fast food restaurant next to it costs 1 yuan to buy a large bowl of wontons, the No. 10 bus costs 5 cents and you can go around Taicheng for 5 cents, and the Sihai Mall’s You can buy a set of casual clothes for 30 yuan.
Even under such social and historical conditions, the school still hired the top professors and teachers in Taicheng at that time to teach us. The very approachable teacher Li Chunhai, the rigorous and serious teacher Wang Tailei, who is responsible and responsible. Teacher Wu Sanxiang, the outstanding teacher Zhang Haiyan... too many teachers gave me strength, taught me knowledge, and taught me how to behave.
That year, I was always surrounded and infected by the care and concern of the teachers. With the support of Teacher Song and the help of my classmates, I held a traditional Chinese painting exhibition on campus, which attracted much attention and improved my self-confidence. During the holidays, Teacher Zhang Haiyan helped me find a job during the holidays, which not only exercised my ability to adapt to society, but also taught me how to Life is not easy. Through impassioned speeches and campaigning, I joined the student union with high votes, which improved my organizational and planning skills and made me more integrated with the school.
In 2001, the five schools merged, and our class of students became the last class of students from the rural enterprise and the first class of graduates from Taishan College.
After moving to Taishan College, there are many brand-new teaching buildings. The whole campus is full of new buildings, such as science and engineering building, liberal arts building, art building, astronomy building, gymnasium, library... Glittering in the sun.
I was assigned to a new dormitory, with bunk beds, computer desks, separate bathrooms, and balconies. Everything was new. I was filled with joy, just like a fish being put into a brand new spacious fish tank. This kind of joy, the feeling of moving to a new house and living in a new house is still vivid in my mind.
In the new campus, I eagerly absorb more knowledge. My shadow is everywhere in the library, electronic reading room, and self-study room.
On weekends, I paid 50 cents to take the No. 4 bus to the Tiandi Square in Tianwai Village, which has not yet been built. I crossed the Dazhong Bridge and sketched on the steps next to Feng Yuxiang’s tomb, designing signatures and drawing flower and bird characters to earn extra money. I will also swim and play in the Heilongtan Reservoir with my classmates.
During that time, with a lot of curiosity about this society and the excitement of youth, those good times with teachers and classmates are in my mind, everything seems like yesterday.
In 2002, time flew by. At the end of my sophomore year, I entered the stage of social practice. My classmates began to be busy designing resumes and going to job fairs to submit resumes. I was also busy making my own plans and choosing jobs every day. Practice units, submit resumes, participate in various interviews, and call to inquire about the interview results.
In March 2003, after a short period of practice in opening a Japanese-owned enterprise in Gao, I entered the employment stage. I entered Linyi Electronic Vocational and Technical School and started my career as a teacher.
The principal’s surname is Li, who is very stable. During that period of work, I once again got to know and understand the rules and prospects of vocational and technical education. I started as an ordinary substitute teacher and experienced the duties of various departments. Work, class teacher, Youth League secretary, assistant to the principal.
Time flies, and it’s 2010 in the blink of an eye. I have accumulated a lot of experience in vocational and technical education during my 7 years in the industry, and I also realize that in the future, vocational and technical education will be strongly supported and promoted by the country. Our country did not lack bosses at that time, but it lacked blue-collar workers and comprehensive practical technical talents.
After repeated thinking, I decided to use the knowledge I learned and the experience I accumulated to start my own school and run my own school for township enterprise employees.
Everything is difficult at the beginning. With an accountant, a partner, and myself, we hit the road, leaving the comfortable working environment and starting from scratch. We had to do everything ourselves. It ranged from renting a school building, going through the formalities, finding solutions from the government, repairing locks, painting and replacing light bulbs. In order to save money, I ate lunch boxes for a year, so much so that I felt like vomiting when I saw the lunch boxes.
In the first year, an electrical engineering major was opened and 48 students were enrolled. The tuition fee was low, and unexpected expenses came in from all aspects. As the founder of the school, he must not only ensure the training of students but also We need to consider student safety, not only ensure teachers' salaries but also consider the operation of the school. We also need to make careful calculations to control various expenses and cope with various unit inspections.
48 students, insist on persevering and not knowing what the future will be like? What should I do if I just give up? I can't face these 48 students and parents, let alone my alma mater for their careful training. I asked myself this again and again. You can imagine the pressure at that time.
Faced with pressure from all sides, cynicism from old colleagues, and strange looks from people, I was on the verge of collapse several times. One night, after smoking two packs of cigarettes at the bridge of Yihe River, I Thinking of the bright smiles and expectant eyes of these 48 children, I had a firm idea in my heart. No matter how hard this school is, we must persevere, otherwise I will not give in. I have accumulated experience and knowledge in 7 years. We can't just let the thought of giving up go away.
I looked at the gurgling Yihe River and secretly vowed that I must stick to my faith and continue to do it. Not only must I do it, but I must do it well, so that my life will be different because of this matter. .
In the spring of 2011, after adjusting the school's thinking, the new semester added popular majors such as biopharmaceuticals, refrigeration technology, kindergarten education, and high-speed rail attendants, and signed employment agreements with parents.
We have recruited and established a department specifically responsible for placing students in internships and employment, allowing students to establish a complete file management system from training to practice to employment as soon as they enter the school.
That year, 128 freshmen entered the school in the fall, which strengthened my confidence and gave me hope. Following this path until 2016, the number of freshmen in the fall reached 685, and the school expanded from one campus to three. campus.
After 10 years of development, the total number of students currently enrolled in the school has reached more than 2,000. In addition to focusing on teaching quality and safety management, cooperation with employers has also become closer and closer. The employment rate has reached 100, and not a single student has Among those left behind, Wu Chuanwei, a 2011 student from Lianyungang City, currently serves as the main person in charge of the Tancheng Project Department of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., with an annual salary of more than 200,000 yuan. Si Guoliang, a 2010 student from Zaozhuang and Tengzhou City, currently serves as a third-level subsidiary directly under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Legal representative and deputy general manager of the kitchen power generation project of Zaozhuang Zhongke Power Plant, with an annual salary of nearly 300,000 yuan.
In the summer of 2019, with the care and concern of the government, we had our own school site, a new building, a new playground, and a new campus.
Sitting in the spacious and bright office classroom, looking at the brand new blackboard, intelligent teaching equipment, new air conditioners, new multimedia equipment, walking in the garden style with green lawns and bright flowers everywhere On campus, students cheered and there were smiling faces everywhere. I couldn’t help but think of the scene in 2001 when we moved from a rural enterprise to Taishan College, and I was filled with emotion.
I am grateful to the rural enterprises for their cultivation bit by bit, to the teachers for their silent nourishment, to the beautiful memories at the foot of Mount Tai that supported me to this day, and to all the encounters along the way. and warmth, give me courage and strength, and let me bravely run towards a better tomorrow.
