But for ordinary people, first of all, according to the senior students, boys have an advantage over girls in terms of employment, and girls generally choose to take the postgraduate entrance examination. Girls who are good at studies cannot compete with boys who have average grades. The postgraduate entrance examination rate is relatively high, the postgraduate retention rate is also relatively high, and the employment rate is not bad, but there are also many people who change careers. In fact, there are many people who change careers in all majors. It depends on luck to have the same major in university and future employment. In terms of study, freshman high mathematics B, inorganic and analytical chemistry, college physics C, linear algebra, English, computer and other basic courses, then botany, meteorology, sophomore year, etc., there are soil science, geomorphology, water conservancy engineering drawing , surveying and the like. In the future, there will be other subjects such as mathematical statistics, management, etc., which are more complex and complex. Because this major requires knowledge in many aspects, such as botany and forestry, water conservancy and soil, meteorological measurement, environmental chemistry and so on. As far as our school is concerned, there are many internships. Unlike some majors who are bored in the classroom every day and often go out to climb mountains and explore the woods. In this aspect, they are relatively happy. I am relatively ignorant about work. What I have heard so far is that there is a special soil and water conservation supervision company that will recruit people in this field. Real estate, bridge construction, road construction, etc. all need to conduct water and soil impact assessments. The next step is to do management, that is, to study wasteland management or something. According to our dean, this major is the only one in the world where China can boast that it is number one. Of course, since there is no loss in other countries, there is no research. Moreover, he said, you don’t have to be afraid of your career in the next fifty years. There are plenty of battlefields for you to practice on. Well, the main reason is that soil erosion is serious in China. There should be research in this area over there, you can check it out. Still speaking, there are people who are unemployed in popular majors, and there are people who have achieved results in even unpopular majors. Being unpopular can at least mean that there is little competition. The important thing is, don’t be discouraged because others say you can’t do this major. Think carefully~
